I created this from another item. I have nice covers on the plastic part behind the front seats, so I didn't want any clip or anything that can damage the cover. This item can just be tucked into the plastic part and its long enough and strong enough to hold a tablet or phone and not flip out. Used with any cheap tablet / phone holder, that accepts a ball socket
