I remixed the original thing by reinforcing clips. They became a bit too stiff though. It worked better than the original but I had to use some force to get it in place. Attaching Sketchup file where I imported STLs from the parent thing and did a reinforcement of the clips. After that the author of the parent thing added STEP files. So in case if you want to modify the parent thing feel free to get it's STEP files.
