Tesla Model 3 Jack Pad Stud
thingiverse
Turn a hockey puck into a Tesla jack pad with this stud. This is a remix of a very nice design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3109796. I tried that design, and it works well. It's designed for rigid filament like PLA or PETG, but those are too brittle for my taste, and I wanted something less likely to break when inserting it into the car. Nylon would be a good choice for that original design, but I didn't have any on hand, so I used some TPU instead. The original finger design with TPU was too flexible; the jack pad wouldn't stay in the hole on its own. So, I re-designed it to be a closed circle design, and there's enough flex in the TPU that you don't need cutouts at all. Just print four pegs and one drill guide - the drill guide locates the hole in the center for you. Use the drill guide to drill out a hole in four hockey pucks. Then screw the pegs onto the hockey pucks. Now throw them in your car; you never know when you'll need to jack it up. You'll need four, just in case you take it to a shop and they want to put it on a lift.
