Tesla Model 3 Jack Pad Set with Box
thingiverse
This set of Tesla Model 3 Jack Pads comes equipped with tabs that securely hold the Jackpad in place within the car frame as you maneuver your jack into position. A compact box is also included to store a set of four, allowing you to carry them with you and eliminate the risk of a mechanic puncturing your battery. The Jackpads can be designed with or without tabs. Without tabs, they can be printed flat without supports. However, if tabs are included, it's recommended that they be printed on the side with supports so that the tabs are stronger and more resilient to bending. The Jackpad Box requires two box halves to be printed, offering three options that can be mixed and matched according to your preference. One file is unthreaded, while another has a 1/4-20 thread and the third features an M6 thread. You can choose to print two unthreaded halves and secure them together with a screw and nut or opt for one unthreaded half paired with a threaded half that requires only a single 2-inch / 50 mm screw to hold it in place. When printing, consider using the following settings: 100% Fill, three Perimeters, and PLA/ABS/PETG material. On a well-tuned printer, these threads print well; however, depending on your print quality, you may need to run a tap through them once completed to refine their finish. The model was printed using white Hatchbox PLA on a Prusa i3 mk3, with design work done in OpenSCAD.
