Tesla Model 3 Ikea Wireless Charger

Tesla Model 3 Ikea Wireless Charger

thingiverse

This is a DIY wireless charger for a Tesla Model 3 based on an affordable Ikea charger. You can opt to have one or two chargers, with material costs totaling around €9 for a single unit and €18 for a dual charger, excluding print materials. That's even cheaper than AliExpress and looks like it was made in-house! TLDR; Get the Ikea parts, remove the rubber "feet" and unscrew the back, then remove the inside component and place it in the printed part. Route the cable and you're done. Full story My Tesla Model 3 still had an adhesive backing on the back with protective plastic still attached. Remove that and stick it to the printed part. Remove the rubber mat from your car. To keep the printed part properly seated, add some double-sided tape to the back of the printed part. Then route the cable in the normal way and stick it where the mat was. Now put the rubber mat back and you're done! Extra The mat was raised about 7mm so your phone might slide over the bumper underneath. Print the riser and click it into place to raise it by 6mm. The riser is from chilman408 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3036269) and has not been modified by me.
