Tesla Model 3 Condenser Cleaning

Printed on a Prusa Mini - I used the slicer to cut the object and print in two sections. Basic superglue to connect them. If you live in a area where you need to clean the AC Condenser on your Model 3, you can follow the guide below. Instead of MacGyvering the foam applicator - print this model. I've included a small hole that can easily be drilled out to larger sizes depending on what foam applicator you end up with. Or, edit the file yourself! NOTE: This procedure should be done in tandem with replacing the cabin air filters with new ones. In addition, cleaner will drain from bottom of vehicle underneath the evaporator. Make sure you position vehicle in an appropriate area for this, such as an outside driveway. 1. Open cabin air filter cavity, then remove old air filters and set aside for now. Assuming the procedure goes well, they will be discarded at the end of the process. 2. Cover side hole on device with scotch tape. 3. Insert device into cavity, and slide it down to lower half of evaporator. Insert tube into top hole, and hold device against evaporator with fingers. Apply half the can of foam cleaner. 4. Remove tube from top hole, then remove device from cavity. Wipe off any foam around the top hole on the device, then cover it with scotch tape. Remove tape from side hole. 5. Insert device into cavity, and hold against upper part of evaporator with fingers. Insert tube into side hole, then use the remainder of the can of foam cleaner. 6. Remove tube from side hole, then remove device from cavity. Wait 10 minutes for foam to do its job. While you wait, remove tape from the device and rinse off for later use. Discard can and old air filters appropriately. 7. After 10 minutes, BEFORE INSTALLING AIR FILTERS, place the cover of the filter cavity back on, then run the AC fan on manual speed 10 at 70 degrees WITH THE AC COMPRESSOR SET TO "OFF". Let this run for 15 minutes. This will drain the foam cleaner and dry the evaporator. You will know it is done when there is no more dripping from the bottom of the vehicle under the evaporator. 8. Install the new filters, paying attention to the air flow direction marked on the filters (front of vehicle to rear), as well as making sure the pull flaps are facing towards the cavity opening. 9. Reattach the cavity cover, and you're done. https://www.teslamodel3wiki.com/how-to-clean-ac-condenser-on-tesla-model-3/
