Tesla Key Apple Watch Charm

This is a charm designed for the 44mm Apple Watch Band. I was frustrated not being able to lock my keys and/or wallet in my Model 3 when going to gym, park, beach, etc. I also did not like the current ring or bracelet offerings from 3rd party companies. The (beta) finished product is meant to be a functional waterproof charm when attached to your apple watch band to lock and unlock your car. However, user assembly is required and I am not responsible for any damage or functionality loss of either the apple watch or keycard in question. Please refer to the YouTube video by JerryRigEverything where I got the idea for this project. A Tesla keycard for the Model 3, Y and newer X and S, can be dissolved with acetone down to expose the NFC circuit and antenna. A set of 2 cards is for sale on Telsa's website for ~$35. This loop can then be twisted into a figure 8 and folded in half to create a circle, reducing the size of the circuit. I was able to only do this only TWICE to reduce the size and shape of the loop to fit on the backside, recessed portion of this charm. I then encased the loop in the recessed portion of the charm with hot glue to waterproof and insulate the circuitry. Take your time doing this - the circuit is fragile. It is recommended to pair the card with your car FIRST, then disassemble into the exposed circuit. A further recommendation is that after you remove the NFC circuit and fold it down to size and shape, test it on the A Pillar to see if you can still lock and unlock. The effective "target" to unlock and start your car is reduced with the smaller loop so you will have to hit the reader in the car and on the door pillar more directly than with the bigger card. The "T" on the charm was a letter shaped by me in TinkerCAD and is not intended to be in any likeness to the vehicle company's logo. If anyone is interested, I may be able to give further instruction or assist in making a few more. Hopefully, this is a stop gap design until Tesla possibly allows keys to be stored in Apple Wallet.
