Tesla J1772 Adapter Chargepoint Card Holder
thingiverse
This shell securely fastens over a Tesla - J1772 adapter, cradles a Chargepoint card, and features grip contours to simplify removal later. My workplace offers complimentary Chargepoint charging via J1772. To use with a Tesla, you must retrieve both the adapter and either a cell phone or Chargepoint card for authentication. I grew frustrated carrying two separate items, so I created this solution. A living hinge and tiny hook lock the shell in place against the drainage hole on the bottom of the adapter without obstructing it. The Chargepoint card is mostly concealed, but can be easily extracted if necessary. A pin-hole is located at the bottom to push it back out if it becomes stuck. Chargepoint cards in this size are available for purchase from the Chargepoint website. I have been using this for a few weeks and it has been incredibly effective - no more fumbling for my phone while holding the J1772 adapter, as well as all my work items. Printed in PLA due to its availability in red filament. Obviously, matching the color of your car is more important than worrying about durability. The print time was roughly 2 hours on my heavily-modified Creator Pro. The "for bigger hands" file features a 5mm extra gap between the card holder and the ring.
