"Accept this token from the Dark Brotherhood. It is a virgin blade, thirsting for blood. May it serve you well, as does your silence."―Lucien Lachance I've been busy lately ripping and uploading Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim props on Thingiverse. This time I'm sharing the enchanting Blade Of Woe. This unique dagger is associated with the Dark Brotherhood in TES IV Oblivion. The mesh was originally designed by Bethesda Studios back in 2005/2006, ripped from the Oblivion.bsa file, and modified for printing. As always, I use the original game mesh, making only minor adjustments to seams and alignment joints necessary for a printable dagger. The low-poly Bethesda mesh remains intact. Printing instructions: 1. Print the grip vertically with the opening facing down, using 4% infill, two walls, and 0.2mm resolution. 2. Print the pommel vertically, using around 10% infill, two walls, and a 4mm brim. 3. Print the two rain guard parts without mirroring them, as they are slightly different. Use two walls and 12% infill for each part. 4. Print the blade halves vertically, using 0% infill, three walls, and a 4mm brim. Printing solid is highly recommended to avoid bending. Assembly instructions: 1. Sand the rain guard parts for better glue adhesion and a finer finish. 2. File down or sand the alignment pins to prevent forcing them during assembly. 3. Glue all parts together using PVC glue, which dries quickly and is rock-solid with PLA prints. 4 (optional): Prime and paint the model to your liking or according to the added original texture. 5: Post your finished make in the comments below.
