Terrier Recruit Interstage

Terrier Recruit Interstage

The Recruit was a compact rocket - its diameter was roughly equivalent to that of the Tomahawk sounding rocket, but it stood shorter in height. Launched atop Terrier boosters for a series of re-entry aerodynamic tests, The Recruit achieved remarkable results. This interstage is 1:5.3 scale, built specifically for use with a 3.44" body tube similar to the one found in the Estes Mercury Atlas kit. In contrast, The Recruit itself was crafted from BT60 body tubes and nestled snugly inside this larger interstage instead of protruding from it via a coupler. The bottom of the interstage features a well-suited recess for an Estes PSII 2" coupler to securely hold an avbay in place, with M4 threads designed to provide a rock-solid anchor for such an avbay.
