Terrier frame in O scale
thingiverse
For DrFrankensteam... This is a test of the Terrier in O scale: for 32mm track It's massive, clocking in at 32/45 times the size of my 1/32 scale / 45mm track / "Gscale" model. Since reducing it by 71.11% won't work with this motor, I've tried to make it work with the same motor, and it looks like a single motor might be possible if the hubs are removed. This frame shows the concept: the rear wheels are directly connected to the motor, and the other two pairs are on 3mm shafts (with 3x3x7 bearings). All other parts from the original model should fit if they're reduced by 71.1%. I've included copies of my latest version here for completeness - some small cutting may be required for the motor where it interferes with the body. There's no easy way to fit a proper shaft for the central wheels, so I'm leaving that as an exercise for your ingenuity... You'll also need to use different screws and other fittings or drill out to fit M3, used in the larger model. If you do build this, please let me know!
