Terrarium Animal Ramp

Terrarium Animal Ramp

I needed a reliable ramp for my Pygmy Hedgehog, Socke, who kept slipping and struggling to climb my previous attempts, so this time I overengineered the design to ensure it's the last one I'll ever build. It fits perfectly over 18mm wide Terrarium Front rails. The side parts are secured with 2x M3 machine screws each, held firmly in place by M3 nuts on a wooden Board (300x150x3). The Middle Part is bolted between the side pieces to prevent my hedgie from getting his little feet caught in holes or rail gaps. I also added grass-like material on top to reduce slipping and tape around all edges to smooth out corners and make cleaning easier. The Parts have a 25-degree angle, so your wooden board should be between 3-4mm thick, 150mm wide, and the length is calculated as: length of board (mm) = height of door rails (mm) / 0.422. For example, my rails are 126.6mm above floor level, so the length of my board should be exactly 300mm, resulting in a 25-degree angle that makes it easy for Socke to run up. I'd love to see some of your builds! Have fun!
