The TerraFlex 6x6 is a pinhole camera designed for use with 120 film in a square format with a 6x6 frame size. This design includes a removable slide-in extension that adjusts the focal length of the camera, which affects shutter speed, angle of view, and potentially depth of field. Meant for use with a 0.22mm diameter pinhole, f/115 center, f/132 nominal values are achieved. The TerraFlex has an angle of view ranging from 95.6° horizontally to 95.6° vertically. This extension is a fast, wide-angle design intended for the TerraFlex 6x6. It features a sliding vane shutter and uses the terraPin Slider system for easy insertion into the camera body. The shutter can be controlled easily through the sliding vane mechanism. The recessed design helps to avoid any interference with your fingertip when covering or uncovering the aperture. Due to its short focal length, significant light falloff occurs at the frame's edges and corners, particularly in the corners. The geometric center of the frame is f/115, while a 14mm radius ring around this point is f/132, providing a good balance between the frame's extremes, which range from f/115 to f/172. Instructions Assemble this extension by combining its four pieces, as shown in the exploded diagram. You will need a 0.22mm diameter pinhole made from thin metal stock, two 10mm-long 3mm bolts, and two nuts. Countersunk-head bolts provide maximum clearance for the field of view, so you should countersink the holes in the top trim ring. To complete your extension, use miscellaneous tools such as files, sandpaper, or an X-acto knife to perform any necessary finishing and shaping. For optimal results, recommend painting the inside surface of wide-angle extensions with flat black to prevent internal reflections and ghosting on exposed film.
