To support my blog post on terrain modeling at http://kitwallace.tumblr.com/post/77488613583/terrain-modelling-with-srtm-python-numpy-and, I reference the Snowden model that utilizes OS Terrain 50 data (http://kitwall Wallace.tumblr.com/post/77585055670/terrain-modeling-in-the-uk). The script extract_os.py is used to extract height data from a specified lat/long bounding box, and an openscad file named 10ksquare (http://kitwallace.tumblr.com/post/77603439151/terrain-modeling-in-the-uk-2) serves as a model for a smaller project. Additionally, the lesarcs model was generated directly from SRTM data through a Python script.
With this file you will be able to print Terrain Models with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Terrain Models.
