In the development of this project, I adhered to Terrafugia's design guidelines for the TF-X™. These included maintaining the rear ducted fan configuration and a high folding wing with pivoting motor pods, while ensuring it could fit inside a 19' x 8' x 7' tall box when in "car mode". The project featured four seats, which I equipped with well-designed and dimensioned aviation seats similar to those found here: https://grabcad.com/library/helicopter-crew-seat-1. Due to the small size limits imposed by garage constraints, all other dimensions were derived from this. The rear drive wheels were closely matched and connected to the engine via a differential on a swinging arm, as seen in my previous Trike 2040 model, which also informed the transmission design. To keep file sizes manageable, I saved the project in STEP format and compressed it with .rar. For easy visualization, I also saved a 3D PDF version available for download and viewable with Acrobat Reader. Additionally, models from GrabCAD's library were used, including the Rotax 912 (https://grabcad.com/library/aptilla-glider), propeller (3-blade propeller), and turbofan (Turbo Prop).
