Terraforming Mars Tray

Terraforming Mars Tray

This is a simple tray for holding player mats in the popular board game, Terraforming Mars. Keeping track of counters can be frustrating, especially when many cards are being played and tokens are constantly moving throughout each phase. To solve this problem, I created a basic tray to hold resource production tokens securely in place. A bonus feature of these trays is that they have small slots on the side where you can attach non-destructive clips to flimsy card play mats that come with the game. The design of the trays allows for easy and quick printing (each one takes around 55 minutes at low resolution on a MakerBot Replicator 2). Printing settings are minimal, requiring no raft, support, or post-print cleanup. Ideally, these trays should be printed in brown to represent production levels or match each player's color (red, blue, green, yellow, and smoke/black). Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and used natural PLA instead. Please note that these trays are designed for use with copper cubes only. The transparent player-cubes are too large for this specific layout. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Low Infill: Low
