Terraforming Mars - 3D Storage
thingiverse
A modular storage solution for 3D printed tiles for Terraforming Mars. The storage is made of a bottom, four walls and a lid. It has room for magnets with the diameter of 6 mm and 2 mm thickness. There is an option to use a "plug" instead of magnets, included in a file. Width: 188 mm. Length: 170 mm. Walls come in three sizes; 21, 32 or 43 mm high, depending on the tiles to be stored. Tiles are stored standing up. A little support is needed for the walls but that's it. Assembly: Print one bottom, two sides and two "Front Back" and glue the walls to the bottom. This makes a "basket" for tiles. Each basket holds 22 tiles. Front and back walls should be placed with flat sides out. Side walls can be placed any way but they are not symmetric so place them to your own liking. You can have a single basket with a lid on top of it, or have multiple baskets on top of eachother before putting the lid on. The magnets/plugs keep the baskets attached to eachother as well as keeping the lid in place. Just make sure to put the magnets in correct direction so they don't repell eachother, or if using plugs, make sure to put all on top of the walls OR at the bottom of the bottoms and the lid, whichever you like. Put at bottom they work as small feet. Larger holes for magnets and smaller pins on walls. Now fits very well. Version 1.0.0: Initial version.
