A 750-740 B.C. terracotta krater with a lid featuring a small hydria is attributed to the Cesnola Painter, characteristic of Geometric Period Greek, Euboean art. The vessel stands at 51 1/2 inches tall (130.8 cm) and is part of the Cesnola Collection, purchased through subscription in 1874-76. Its origins are said to be from Kourion, Cyprus.
