This Roman sculpture depicts Terpsichore, the Muse of Dance, masterfully playing a lyre. The original statue dates back to the 1st Century AD and can be viewed at the Vatican Museums in Rome. Despite being ancient, the head does not match the body, which was discovered in 1774 in the Villa of Cassius near Tivoli.
