Termostat Mount for incubator
thingiverse
I built an incubator for my Silkie chickens, gathering eggs to hatch. Online instructions showed using a thermostat designed for water heaters; it's affordable at under $10 and covers the temperature range of 98-100 degrees Fahrenheit with a 25-watt light bulb. However, most guides suggested mounting it against the box's wall, which has limited airflow due to its flat side. I created a custom mount to keep it about three-quarters of an inch away from the wall. Currently, I only have one hen set to hatch; she is sitting on twelve eggs with no room in the nest. I placed them inside the incubator for a synchronized hatching time in twenty-one days. Once they hatch, I'll share photos here. Printer Settings: Printer: Da Vinci 1.0a Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 20% Notes: I mount using screws and double-sided pads.
