Terminator With LED's
thingiverse
I finally gave up trying to hollow out the various T800 designs on this forum, so I decided to remix one of them. I replaced the square LEDs with 5mm round ones, requiring me to scale down the model to 75% to make the eyes about 5.3mm in diameter. I also made the hole inside bigger to accommodate a 250mAh LiPo battery, a 22ohm resistor, and a switch, and added a tunnel for the LED wires to reach into the hole, filling in the back holes as well. The circuit consumes only 7mA of power. Originally, I had planned to use OpenSCAD but the original model these are all based on is full of errors and neither OpenSCAD nor FreeCAD could render it to an STL file - MeshMixer/MeshLab couldn't fix it either. So, I used TinkerCAD instead. Print Settings: Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.18mm Infill: 15% Notes: I tried printing the original at 50% and 75% in PLA, but both times the tubes snapped. Then, I tried this model with ABS at 50-70mm/s, two shells, but still the tubes snapped off.
