Terminator - ARRIVAL - by SPARX

After spotting the TV series poster, I got the idea of creating a lamp with sound - almost like a ship in a bottle. Once I had sourced a 250mm sphere, I could begin designing the sculpture to fit the opening. Sound and video can be found at https://youtu.be/abtdWenYkVI. I share my work for others to enjoy, but please do not share these files on social media or other websites. Links to this page are acceptable. If you wish to print this without the sphere and electronics, feel free to do so, but please don't scale it down any further - the model itself is 1/6 scale, and most of my models are also at this scale. I've included three faces and two torsos for all the purists who will tell you that bare metal can't be transported. However, it's my model, so the choice is yours. You may need to read the PDF to get the best out of assembly and printing orientation. A very high-resolution file with lots of detail and full instructions has been included. I'm not offering any support for the enclosed Arduino file or parts used - these are listed in the PDF. All the parts have been printed and developed to print, as you can see from the file name. Some of the torso's are up to print/version 8! That means 14 torso parts have been printed and six faces - all pieces have been tested, and they print out very easily if you follow the settings in the PDF file. It was necessary for me to separate the face and head to fit the LED into the eye. The torso also has a tube running through it to feed the wires, which means you'll need to fill the hole in her buttock after feeding the wire through the body. Yes, splitting the file in two was necessary to get the best print quality from the parts. Recently, I've been asked "why this isn't printing?" or "This is full of holes when printed?" Please don't scale down or adjust my recommended settings for infill, etc. As you can see from the pictures, it prints very well, and I believe you'll be pleased with the result when completed. All of my models are only released when they can print - so please don't remix or "fix" faults in this model then republish! If there's a fault, let me know - message me, and I'll answer and fix the problem. Apart from that, print, make, and enjoy! I make these models for my own collection, but I'm always open to suggestions of content for models that cover the DC and Marvel universe as well as TV and film cult images like Barbarella. So, if you have any ideas, message me. As always, enjoy the parts on offer. I share my work for others to enjoy. People ask me why the detail is so prominent - not just the Bimbo bits, but also the muscle tone, anatomy, clothing, etc., in my models. Well, as they are primarily made and designed for my own collection, I always sand them down with fine emery then have the models subjected to an Acetone vapor bath for 60 seconds. This seals the shells and makes a smoother appearance but removes some detail - hence, building more detail into the model. Hope you like it!
