This project is actually the control system for my very own functioning Terminator arm replica, something I've been working tirelessly to bring into being. As an engineer at heart, I started off with a concept that was way too complicated, but then I realized I needed to strip it down and simplify it so others could build it just as easily. This made the final design really look its best and work seamlessly as a high-quality functional display piece paired with my Terminator arm replica. The core of this system relies on super thin fishing gut along with several tiny pulleys, which do an incredible job of transferring each and every finger movement directly from the control unit right to the actual arm itself. It does require purchasing some small nuts and screws in order to attach those incredibly fine threads as well as attach the entire control unit securely onto the base of my Terminator replica. It may seem a bit too challenging for some individuals, but believe me, when completed just right it will give you a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment that lasts for years. In fact, even after over 12 months just sitting on a shelf collecting dust mine is still proudly standing tall and continues to work flawlessly every time I use it to send someone the bird, something that still makes me laugh!
