Terminal Block Mount (SubD) (customizable)
thingiverse
This is a surface mount for a SUB-D9 terminal block. For my DIY 3D printer project, I needed a way to attach these blocks securely to a surface. Unfortunately, there was no straightforward method available, so I designed a small pocket to slide the terminal into place. This eliminated the need to cut soldering and wires at the bottom of the mount. To secure it in position, simply slide the block in and fasten it. I've included the FreeCAD source file for this design, allowing you to adapt it to fit any type of connector you want to attach to a surface. The two larger holes on the mount are designed for surface mounting. The smaller hole serves as a lock to keep the PCB firmly in place, enabling you to even install the mount on an inclined plane with the connector facing downwards. You can use just one large hole and the smaller screw to secure the mount if needed. If you frequently need to remove or swap the terminal block, consider using two big screws to hold the slot pocket in place along with the small screw to secure the PCB.
