Islamic Workshop 5 in post-Mongol phase stands at the westernmost end of the shahristan. A circular updraft kiln boasts a 3.30 m outer diameter, its inner firebox measures 2.70 m in diameter and reaches a medium height of 2.50 m. The south-facing door remains intact while the firing chamber has vanished altogether. Eight strategically placed openings facilitate air and heat exchange between the firebox and the firing chamber, although they were likely supplemented by many more originally. Notably, the grate is abnormally thin, casting doubt on its ability to support any load above it. This could imply that ceramics were not fired directly on the grate, but rather supported by bars or flat shelves instead.
