This model is very simple. It's nothing else than a nametag that goes over the existing one with an open side to slide it on and off.

It certainly doesn't look like an original one when you look up close but it's good enough to make people laugh and doubt at the first look.

I should mention that those nametags have to be worn with caution because obviously it is not authorized to wear them and because the “i find it funny” factor varies from person to person. Use them at your own risk!

In my case i distribute them here and there and they circulate in our batallion. People usually wear them during freetime, vacation or to make some executives laugh.

They print perfectly on my PrusaMini+ with black Prusament PLA. Because of the overhang it sometimes happens that the nametag gets stuck when sliding it on… In this case just take a flat file and lightly file off the “groove” on each side. That worked so far for me.

When ensured that the nametag fits snuggly, you just need to fill in the letters with TippEx or white paint to make the letters. A TippEx pen works just fine for that.

After the white is filled in i usually take a black permanent marker to paint off the white excess and accentuate the contours and it's done! if necessary you can also slightly sand the nametag's front to get rid of the TippEx excess.

Instructions for customisation:

add text on the nametag (for example with the “text” tool in sketch mode Fusion360)

install and select “Blogger sans” font

insert text with height between 5mm and 8mm (typical 6mm)

use capital letters only (like on the original nametags

center text vertically and horizontally on the nametag

extrude the text -0.6mm to make it negative

slice it “text” down on the print surface and print it

So that's all for this project. I hope you like it.

Feel free to customize those nametags and i would be happy to see your creative names (you'll find a plain nametag as well as a folder containing my funny designs i made so far)

Viel Glück bei der RS und dem WK

Bonne chance pour l'école de recrue et les cours de répétition

Stego
