Tentacle Fridge Door Handle
thingiverse
Our fridge needed a new handle, so I decided to make it a fun one. Using one of Rocketman5004's tentacle models from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4421615 I made my design in Tinkercad. The tentacle is connected to the mounting plate with a printed bolt, so that you can easily screw the mounting plate to the door without the tentacle getting in the way. I left a hole in the end of the bolt so you can secure it in place, but for my print this turned out to be unnecessary as the friction fit made it tight enough. The position of the mounting holes is 2cm x 7cm, based on the pre-existing screwholes in my fridge door, with the holes being 5mm in diameter. Due to some issues I had printing a full tentacle, I split the tentacle model in half, and glued the two sides together, using a soldering iron to smoothen and fix the seam. A full tentacle is included My fridge has a small ridge, which required me to leave a gap in the porthole, but a gapless file is also included.
