Tenta-Clone in OpenSCAD

Tenta-Clone in OpenSCAD

I discovered Schmarty's Volumetric Tentacle Key Hook (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8720), which inspired me to apply the concept in OpenSCAD, a 3D modeling software I frequently use for organizing objects by function. Upon examining Guru's original Volumetric Tentacle design created with Processing, I decided to reproduce it in OpenSCAD as an experiment. Although OpenSCAD is known for creating geometric designs, I successfully utilized it to create an organic-looking model, albeit requiring patience due to longer rendering times. However, the final STL file was quite large at 6+ MB, which was reduced to a more manageable size of 1.5 MB after processing through netfabb. I shared my project on GitHub for others to view and use: https://github.com/syvwlch/Thingiverse-Projects/tree/master/Tenta-Clone. Please exercise caution as the script is not parametric, meaning modifications may require careful adjustments. Additionally, rendering took over three hours for this specific design.
