Tensioner / slider for flexible slat bed
thingiverse
We were in the process of moving our slat bed when we stumbled upon a major issue - most of the tension adjustment sliders had snapped.\r\n\r\nAlthough replacements are relatively affordable, it made more sense to design and print out new ones as needed.\r\n\r\nI printed them using ABS with high infill, which gave them a remarkably sturdy feel; time will tell if they can withstand regular use. Considering something virtually indestructible like nylon might be worth exploring further.\r\n\r\nThe OpenSCAD source code for these flexible slat sliders is available on GitHub at https://github.com/Lenbok/scad-flexible-slat-slider, where you can easily modify it to suit different widths or thicknesses of slats. The current model is optimized for 9mm thick x 53mm wide slats.
