Tension Nut Filament Guide for 3/4" PVC pipe
youmagine
I installed a filament guide based on my tension nut, which allows me to print long jobs without worrying about the filament looping off the roll. My tension nut is tight enough that it stays securely in place without needing a screw. The hole has a large rounded edge on both sides, making it easy for the filament to pass through. The arm should fit various spool sizes, and you can insert a small square of foam in front of it to clean the filament before it reaches your extruder. Simply push the filament through the foam, which will remove any loose dust or particles that might be affecting its flow. If you're using PLA, try applying a few drops of pure canola oil to the foam; I've found this works wonders in keeping PLA feeding smoothly into my extruder, based on both my own experience and comments from others.
