Tension Lock - Add-on
thingiverse
The MK6 extruder's rapid reversal capability can cause a simple tension screw to loosen over time. To address this issue without replacing the acrylic frame, design and print a lock system that secures the screw in place. The process takes approximately 10 minutes for design and 30 minutes for printing two parts: a tension lock and a locking bar (with Version 2 being more effective). Attach the circular part of the tension lock to the screw and adjust the tension as desired. Finally, insert the locking bar close to the preferred tension level, effectively preventing loosening. A potential alternative is using a rubber band for self-tensioning.
