Tensegrity stool
thingiverse
Inspired by the "impossible table", this stool is engineered to support the weight of a person with two tripods mounted upside-down for maximum force transfer. As it's constructed around climbing rope, which is inherently elastic, this stool is naturally unstable - that's what makes it so exhilarating! Since 3D printed parts bear the full weight, careful consideration must be given to the selection of printed material and slicing parameters to maximize their strength. I opted for PET-G, and the finished stool withstood my weight without issue. However, fiber-reinforced filament would likely be an even better choice.
