Those are vibration dampeners for 2020 aluminum extrusions, specially designed for Scalar S 3D printers. Updates: 16th December: original upload Easy to use: Print at least three of them (four are even better), and place them under your printer chassis. Each model has a M4 screw hole so that you can use M4X8mm + T-nuts to hold them securely in place. Place tennis balls under the feet. Benefits: Reduce noise levels Reduce low-frequency vibrations Slightly improve print quality Give you more space to use underneath the printer (for tools, etc.) Fun to use Models: We provide two models here: Scalar -Tennis_Ball_Damper_2020.stl: base model, very steady; tennis balls will have a lot of surface area to stick to. Scalar -Tennis_Ball_Damper_simple_2020.stl: lightweight version that is 20mm wide and fits perfectly along the extrusion profiles edges.
