Tennis Ball Stand
thingiverse
I stash tennis balls on my work desk to juggle during downtime and fine-tune my serve toss technique whenever possible. However, the stray balls seemed incongruous on my desk, prompting me to build this custom stand. My objective was twofold: it had to make my desk tidy again by concealing loose balls in a dedicated area, preventing them from rolling off the surface or causing distractions during meetings. \n \n \nInstructions\nThis bespoke stand was created using Rhino 5 software. To bring the design to life, I utilized a Makerbot Replicator 2 3D printer set at low 300 micron resolution with a dual-layer build style and an impressive 10% infill density - all this without relying on rafts or support material for structural integrity. Moreover, I leveraged the versatility of a PRINTinZ printer plate to optimize the printing process significantly.
