Tenlog Hands 2 or TL-D3 4020 cooling fan mount
thingiverse
Some mounts I made for adding more cooling to the Tenlog Hands 2. Will also fit the TL-D3 or other printers with the same extruders. The models should already be oriented in the way they print. Use 0.2 layers or smaller. PLA or any other material is just fine since it doesn't get anywhere near the hotend. There is a small support bridge that needs to be clipped off, but that should be the only support required. No hardware is required. Just hang the clip on the horizontal groove in the middle of the extruder, and snap the bottom into place underneath. The fan also just pushes into place. For wiring, either you can replace the stock fan, which is the easiest thing, or you can wire it in parallel for extra cooling. This requires some soldering to split the connection (what I did), or purchasing some kind of splitting cable. One downside to this design is that it hangs a bit low and can collide with your front bed clips. This is pretty much unavoidable if you want the most airflow possible. So what I did is bend the part of the binder clips that holds the wire back and forth with pliers until they snapped off. This makes it much lower profile so it doesn't collide, but also makes it harder to remove and replace. You have been warned. If you don't have clips holding your bed on, this isn't an issue. Also, this will provide MUCH more cooling than usual due to having as little constriction of the air flow as possible. And not just concentrated on the nozzle, but blasting the whole layer (important for printing super fast). Which means if you turn it on full blast, especially near the bottom of the print, it can actually cause the bed to get too cold and the print can pop off. I would slowly increase the cooling until layer 10 or so where you can do max speed. With certain materials, the cooling may still be way too much, so you will need to dial it down. Edit: Added additional arm and some easy to remove supports built in. This makes it much more stable. Also added a picture. Edit again: Realized that I didn't orient the parts again the way they should print. Did that and re-uploaded Here is the source file if anyone wants to remix this. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/c717957905198c0c85253b07/w/642b7ac2855d074bd16aa0b6/e/c2971758728422e6db8513c2?renderMode=0&uiState=61be572bfef761767acffecb
