Tenkara Line Winder

Tenkara Line Winder

Simple line winder for a Tenkara fishing rod. ### Background I fished with a Tenkara rod while hiking the John Muir Trail two summers ago. We would stop at any spot that looked fishable, try a couple casts, and move on to the next spot. The rod worked great but I always had minor complaints about the line winders. The various ones I tried were either too bulky, fragile, slow, or released the line unintentionally against the pack side pocket. So I decided to try designing my own. ### Details * Designed to fit the Tiny Ten 2 (10mm diameter). Simple to modify for other rod dimensions. * 10cm long * 5g weight * Fastens to the rod with two ~1.5mm wide zip-ties. Doesn't slip along rod length. * Top prong snaps into an open or closed position, to quickly unwind line. * Hook rests inward towards the rod, so that the hook tip does not catch on backpack fabric. * Printed with PLA+. May not be durable long term. Should probably use ABS. * .12mm layer height, 50% infill, 75mm/s speed, 210deg. This is my first 3D designed part and was a fun learning experience. I'm planning to simplify some details on the second pass if I get the time.
