Temple Works stands proudly as a former flax mill in the heart of Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Conceived by visionary engineer James Combe, a talented protégé of renowned John Rennie and respected David Roberts, and crafted in collaboration with esteemed architect Joseph Bonomi the Younger, this magnificent structure took shape between 1836 and 1840 under the skilled hands of master builder John Marshall. At its core lies an impressive 240 hp double beam engine, a testament to the ingenuity of Benjamin Hick (B. Hick and Son). This iconic building proudly holds the distinction of being Holbeck's only Grade I listed treasure.
