This snow lion hybrid embodies the snow lion motif that originated in Tibet during the sixteenth century. Typically, these snow lions flank shrines and temples of Buddhism, sitting in pairs on either side of entrances. To explore this artifact further, visit https://mypages.unh.edu/noorfaith/overview. Captured using agisoft photoscan and a Nikon D7000, this object is housed at the University of New Hampshire Museum of Art.
