This 3D model was originally designed in Sketchup 8 and then transformed into various other 3D formats. The native format is .skp while the 3ds Max scene uses version 2016 with Vray 3.00 as the rendering engine. Kudos to Maberick Mocha, AirbusA330, WilliamT, and myself for making it possible. While the 747-100 was capable of providing ample payload and range for US domestic flights, it barely made the cut for international routes that required longer ranges. As a result, airlines quickly requested more powerful aircraft with increased payloads. The response to this demand was the improved -200, which boasted more powerful engines, higher maximum takeoff weight, and greater range than its predecessor. Early -200s retained the three-window layout on the upper deck but most were designed with a ten-window configuration on each side. The 747-200 came in several models, including passenger versions (-200B), freighter versions [-200F], convertible versions {-200C}, and combi versions [-200M]. The -200B was the basic passenger version with enhanced fuel capacity and more powerful engines. It entered service in February 1971. Initially, all -200s were equipped with Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7 engines; range estimates began at over 5,000 nmi (9,300 km) with a full passenger load and rose to 6,000 nmi (11,000 km) with later engines. The majority of -200Bs featured an extended upper deck which accommodated up to 16 passengers.
