Tempio Israelitico Di Trieste
sketchfab
The synagogue in Trieste stands tall since 1912, proudly situated between Via San Francesco, via Donizetti, and via Zanetti in this beautiful city. It's widely regarded as one of Europe's largest houses of Jewish worship, trailing only behind Budapest's Temple. This magnificent structure is a testament to the cultural and social values deeply rooted within Austro-Hungarian Empire's (Hapsburg) Jewish communities. Following Italy's annexation of Trieste in 1918, marking the end of World War I, this synagogue joined Rome, Genoa, and Livorno as one of Italy's four major synagogues during the twentieth century.
