I really liked the temperature calibration tower by fanlabise - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1956512 - but the Anycubic PLA I just bought off Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017R4OPU2 - is rated between 190 and 230 degrees, which falls slightly out of range for the original tower's temperature settings. To address this issue, I added an extra step to the calibration process and relabeled the temperature marks accordingly. As with the original design, users will need to modify their G-code temperature settings every centimeter (10mm) to ensure accurate results. Fortunately, this can be done easily using the Post Processing | Modify G-Code extension in Cura. Edit: After printing this revised model, I discovered that the text was not readable as intended. To resolve this issue, I scaled up the text and embossed larger letters, resulting in a new version 2 of the calibration tower. Print Settings: Printer: Tevo Tarantula Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 - 0.3 Infill: 20% Notes: Adding a brim to the model may be advisable to enhance adhesion, especially when printing tall structures like this one.
