Temperature Activated Enclosure Fan with Filter.
prusaprinters
This is a part of a larger project I've been working on over the last year has been to build a large enclosure for my printer to help prevent the warping that is all to common in my cold basement. It's built around a couple of parts I found online:These small twist-locking hepa filters I found (for Frida Baby Air Purifiers)This Noctua fan with nearly the same diameter (NF-A9 PWM 92mm)This thing that adds speed control and converts 12V to a 4pin fan headerThese programable 12V temperature controllersIt prints in 4 parts. Two for the inner plate that the filter twists into and two for the outer piece that holds the electronics. Both sets get glued together and then bolted through the side of the enclosure with the fan. I've completely made this up as I've went along but for the most part it seems to be working for me and my enclosure. I've found that it can just barely keep up when my printer is printing with PETG and has no problem at all at PLA temps. If I take the filter off it also does fine with PETG and other heat sources like my filament dryer.I am 100% open to feedback on this one. I would love to know if theres some way I could of done this better or if there is a flaw in my design.
