I crafted these after discovering three stackable wire racks that fit perfectly for a tempeh oven. #8 machine bolts are used at the corners to attach the upper and lower racks to the legs. To create tempeh, I place a small heating pad on the lower rack and slide in the middle rack with the bags of beans on it. The entire setup fits inside a very large insulated tote which gets zipped shut when incubating. The heating pad is controlled by a temperature-sensor relay ($15 on Amazon) that turns the heating pad on when the temperature drops below 31C. It worked flawlessly on the first try! I may also attempt yogurt in here by leaving out the middle rack and possibly placing the heating pad at the bottom...
