I wanted to be able to monitor the temperature inside my enclosure from anywhere, so I could make adjustments as needed. This helps me maintain the perfect temperature by adjusting the exhaust fan speed. You will need this sensor for your build. The module is super affordable and comes prewired with resistors and LEDs. You can find it on Amazon here: Temperature Sensor Module. I also picked up some Pi jumper extensions to make connecting everything a breeze. These are essential for getting your Raspberry Pi setup right, and you can get them from Amazon here: Jumper Wires for Raspberry Pi. This sensor works seamlessly with the Room Temperature plugin, but you do need to connect to your Octopi via SSH to modify the /boot/config.txt file using Putty. The directions are in the links below: Room Temperature Plugin: https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/roomtemp/ SSH into Raspberry Pi: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/remote-access/ssh/windows.md Here's how you connect everything: Red - 5V Black - Ground Yellow - GPIO4 The sensor slides right in, and I used double-sided tape to secure it at the back of my enclosure.
