Telescoping Photography Reflector Tripod Adapter
thingiverse
If you've ever struggled with getting a camera mounted securely, you know that it's impossible without a sturdy rig. I designed this setup to attach to a standard tripod, making it a game-changer for photographers on-the-go. The materials needed include one piece of PVC pipe (I recommend printing the cap before purchasing, as it fits snugly into a 3/4" or 1-inch diameter opening), a 1/2" dowel rod, several screws with 3mm holes, and a hex nut with a 6mm hole. The rig's length is customizable, but mine fit perfectly in my monopod bag. The bottom attachment threads onto standard tripod threads, while two side holes allow for easy screwing into the sides to secure the top hook. The top cap fits tightly without glue, and the knob threads directly into the 6mm hole to tighten around the dowel rod. I simply glued on the dowel cap for added stability. When using this rig, be mindful of wind conditions, as it can act as a sail; adding weights or securing the tripod firmly is essential to prevent any issues.
