The SCAD file is a basic telescoping pole clamp generator that can be customized to fit specific needs. The parameters are straightforward: Lower pole diameter in mm, Upper pole diameter in mm, and Type of attachment. Options include SO-239 Dipole, BNC Dipole, None for just clamping, Mast support ring with N holes, and 8 and 6 hole configurations. Included STL files are designed for a 20' Shakespeare telescopic pole that requires five locks to secure its six sections. Users can adjust these designs to fit their own poles by tweaking specific lines at the bottom of the SCAD file. The dipole supports draw inspiration from Sterminato's designs, available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:894073. Knobs used in this project are sourced from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1377830, while the support ring design is inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:856305. To use this generator, simply download the SCAD file and adjust parameters to fit your needs. The STL files can be large and may require significant time for OpenSCAD to render, especially with added supports. Wall thickness is consistent across upper and lower sections; however, a noticeable color difference appears in photos due to a change of filament mid-project. For knobs, M4 20mm hex screws are used along with washers underneath the knob for stability. This project was printed using fluorescent yellow PLA with red PLA knob caps matching a tripod mount. A photo from Cal QRP meeting at Denny's deck showcases a 20m dipole set up on the deck utilizing the BNC dipole top section.
