Human: Telescoping Tube Assembly, eight segments, with 45° stops, diameter = 80mm; 60mm, height = 50mm; 20mm; 100mm. Telescoping frameworks are simple yet mathematically captivating. I was experimenting with telescoping frameworks and discovered that the stops inside could be constructed from 45° angles for smooth printing. The design process (on Fusion 360, for example), is quite straightforward. K-12 students can learn how to utilize variables (parameters) for adaptable design, constraints for intended geometric forms, and rotation (revolving) for three-dimensional construction. This is an entry-point three-dimensional design project, featuring structures that are traditionally impossible to create in one piece. The outcome, however, is aesthetically inspiring. Have fun!
