Telescopic Brace System for AR-22s
thingiverse
Wanted a telescopic brace for my AR-22 build but the only ones I could find had a short pull because of the required buffer tube on ar systems. Made this to give a lot more pull due to not needing a buffer tube. With a 4.5" barrel and the Tailhook Mod1 brace it collapses to 13.5" I want to redesign the locking mechanism, as it pops out if you pull it out too fast. I'm going to be ordering an A3 Tactical SteadyBrace soon so should have an adapter for that up as well sooner or later. Additional Needed Parts: 1x - KNS Picatinny adapter w/ flange 2x - 8.75" long 5/16" Aluminum rods (might be able to squeeze 9" if you want to max it out) 2x - 10x3 round magnets 1x - Spring (I used one from out of a pen) 1x - Screw from random picatinny accessory 1x - ~25mm long 6mm aluminum rod 1x - Tailhook Mod1/Mod1c brace
