Telescope Motor Focuser Bracket
thingiverse
This is a precision-crafted bracket I designed specifically for motor focusing with my telescope, tailored to fit the Skywatcher Startravel 102 focuser like a glove, holding a Nema 17 PG25 stepper motor securely in place. The design may also work for other telescope focusers, although there wasn't a working model available for my exact scope. The adjustable length of this bracket ensures a perfect fit every time, while the carefully designed slits enable the use of straps to secure the stepper motor and connector firmly in position. I'm thrilled with how it performs - it's rock-solid and doesn't flex even when focusing, making it an absolute joy to use. If you're interested in building something similar yourself, be sure to check out the MyAscomFocuser project! To print this bracket successfully, I recommend using supports for the holes and slits, and printing with a higher infill percentage than the default 20% to eliminate any flexing. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 50% Notes: Choose a higher infill percentage than the default 20% for added stability, and use supports for the holes and strap slits. To ensure proper alignment, rotate it so that the fully flat side is facing down.
