Telescope Eyepiece Extender
thingiverse
I was trying to take out a right angle prism from my guide telescope. A extender was needed to replace this so that I could still bring my guide camera into focus. This was made because I needed it, and also so I could learn a little about OpenSCAD. Therefore this thing is also parametric, so you can adjust it to your own requirements. Adjust the variables in the OpenSCAD file to create your own extender. Variables are: Extension length Wall thickness Telescope focuser size Eyepiece size Warning: It might not be wise to hang anything heavy off this as I have not provided a thumb screw hole to hold anything in place. That said, however, I found that the fit was tight enough that I could hang a DSLR off a 1.25" tube. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Actually printed on a Wanhao Duplicator 4X Post-Printing Some sanding might be required. After printing I had to lightly sand the inside of the eyepiece end so that the eyepiece/camera would fit snugly.
